I’m so stuck in my stubborn ways
Won’t you come to help me
I can’t fight this disease alone
Why can’t we just bury this beneath the roots

along with all the other things I pretend my brains erased
This is only going to destroy me
If the facts are not faced
using nothing but a shovel with a spade

I’m trapped and buried in hell,
I’m going to dig myself out of the ground
pulling each root one by one
until my eyes can gaze into the sun

I’m breaking down, I’m falling apart
but I know that I’ll get myself out if I place my spade into the dirt
Fragments underlying me are trying to drag me down by my feet
but this is an epiphany and you are the epitome of defeat
